Got 2 calls today from this number on my cell. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. They called a month ago also. Total scam. I am also on the DNC list. There MUST be something we can do to stop this. Obviously they are calling a LOT of people.
I get one of these calls about every month and would like them to stop. I thought that being on the "do not call" registry would stop them. NOT!!! What do you have to do?
I contacted my phone company and they said this is a phishing scam. They are trying to get your personal information. I am constantly being called on my cell phone and my home phone by their many different numbers. Many of them start with a 900 area code. I was told that because they are not a business the phone company could do nothing about it but that I should report it to "Do not call" and the FCC everytime!! These people are a bad bunch!! Seems like they should be punished for this.
