This is not a scam. They get the numbers from the agancy that hires them- usually a hosp or something like that. They use auto dail and thats why if you wait to answer no one is there.
It is legiamate research but funded by the state and Gilmore just calls for them. Since it is funded by the state that is why the compensation is only $10 instead of the usual $60-$100 offer for doing focus groups at the Gilmore location.
A Woman called me calming she was from the department of health and doing a survey. If this number really is legit like Carol said , then I wonder why their number would appear as unavailable? I went a did a search for Gilmore research on Google maps , and this is the address it gave me that had the number in question , 524 4th St Bremerton, WA 98337 .
Got calls from this number many times. As I understand, it is the heath department calling for a survey, I also recieved a letter saying that someone would be calling for a survey saying they are with the health department. Have not spoken with them, they do not leave a message.
Not sure why they would call me in SF if they are doing a survey. Called four times over the weekend. 618 pm, 712 pm, etc. At dinner time mostly. Must be market research, but why Washington Dept of Labor if I'm in SF?
