Bunny, be sure to report the call to the FCC (link below). While charities and political groups are exempt from the Do Not Call List, NO ONE is allowed to make prerecorded, auto-dialed calls without explicit permission in writing from the recipient.
My call went to voicemail. It was a pre-recorded message telling me about how wrong it was for our local Alabama schools sending pamphlets home with students urging parents to vote Yes on an upcoming 125% property tax increase vote on Aug 25th. It urged the caller to contact the local school board and tell them not to use our kids for their political agenda. Despite it saying "This call is not affiliated or endorsed by any political organization....", who else would pay for the telemarketer service?
