I just got the call with the same amount of grant "won" and the same "L576" number to release the money. I wouldn't have thought anything about it, but my boyfriend that has a cell phone number with a different area code from mine, just got the same call about a week ago. The woman that called was a foreigner that I couldn't understand very well to begin with, which always makes me weary anyway, but, the funny thing was, she had my address wrong and when I commented to them, that being the federal government, they should know where I live since I pay taxes to them, she got a little testy, and said, do you want the money or not? I said sure, give me the info, then said thank you, this is" Detective Homebase (fake name...lol), I was hoping to hear from you, I have had many complaints about the grant money scam".....THE END....she hung up and I reported them to better business and local police....lol
yes, me too.. I called them anonymously and they asked for my phone number, or case file number in a very thick Mandarin accent.. when questioned, they abruptly hung up..
I got a call from this number and he said I had a case file. I could barely understand the man and he kept asking me for my name and information. I asked what this was concerning and he got angry with me because I refused to give him anymore information until he told me what he was calling about. We ended up shouting at each other before I finally hung up.
