These guys called me and left a vm and identified themselves as the "IRS" which they stated and emphasized that they were the "Internal Revenue Service". I called it, and there was no IRS or Federal or any I.D. stating who they were. Their greeting message only said "the person you are calling are not here now, leave a message."
I received the same call from this number as well. I'm pretty sure that IRS (Internal Revenue Service), would not have you call back on a number that wasn't an 800 number. It showed unknown caller, and it has been going on for a week. I wish it would stop because they are threatening me with a lawsuit. This needs to stop. What could we do?

I wish it would stop immediately because they are threatening me with a lawsuit. What should I do? The first time a returned their call, the greeting message only said "the person you are calling are not here now, leave a message." On the second returned call, finally a person answer the phone, but after I asked his name, he said: I'm John and after I asked him to confirm if I was calling the right place (IRS), he said yes, gave his badge # 10032065, got upset and hangup on my face.
Got the same call with the threat of a lawsuit. The IRS does not call people and threaten them. I'm going to turn them into the BBB. It is probably a scam. I'm not calling them back and I'm call my congress man/woman about.
