Was called numerous times. Didn't answer. Final on September 18 two massages were left ( one at 9:40 and one at 1:22 ) on my answering machine saying that it was a notice from the legal department Internal Revenue Services to inform me that I am being sued by IRS and I should press 1 or call (253) 655-4868. Ridiculous !!!
This number called 3 times yesterday and left voice messages claiming to be the "legal department" of the Internal Revenue "Services", that we are being sued by the IRS and must call them immediately. Each message was a bit more urgent, but all were automated voices (recordings).
Just received a auto dialed call from this number 360-637-6804 "Urgent Call we have been trying to contact you about a legal issue with the IRS, you are being sued by the IRS press 1 to be connected to a live agent" The IRS would never contact anyone this way. I have reported the number on the IRS Fraud Page suggest all do the same.
I have received at least 3 calls from this number a day. Today I finally got the same voicemail stating that legal actions are being pursued by the IRS. I called the number back to see if this is a scam because my SSN has truly been used for fraud tax purposes. When they answered they referred to themselves as an officer but there was so much background information and they couldn't answer any of my questions, they just wanted personal information
