This number has called a few times starting a week or so ago. I never answer these types of calls, as I do not want them confirming they have reached an actual working number, that they will then sell onto others to endlessly harass you; after they run their scam on you. The first call was past nine at night, and later calls followed at times like 0344 hrs, and just now was their first daytime attempt; I will add their number to the block list on my phone. Viewing the phone log on my TV caller ID, shows that the call is NOT a single incoming call, but rather EACH RING is a SEPARATE incoming phone call. The number repeatedly calls every 'X' seconds or so, making the phone ring like a single incoming call, but in actuality, for every 'one' phone call received from these people, my call log has registered multiple incoming calls with the same time stamp over and over, as separate incoming calls for each ring of the phone. So when they call, although it rings like a standard incoming phone call would, it was actually eight separate calls in a row, the same number of times the phone rang. To me this makes no difference as I have free unlimited long distance and local, but to someone with a cell phone, depending on how it is billed as I do not own a smartphone, you are NOT being 'charged' for a SINGLE incoming call from this number. Each ring is a separate incoming call of it's own. If cell phone companies charge you for each incoming call, or if there are other limits of some kind, or if this number is incoming from offshore, you could end up being financially responsible for any fees associated with their blast of individual incoming phone calls, 'masked' as a single incoming phone call that coincidentally corresponds to the number of times the phone rings. Be careful, be aware, do not ever give personal information to someone that calls you.
I receive this call all the time, at least twice daily. This is the 1st time I answered, and was told "This is Matt with the Washington State Patrol"..knowing that's very unlikely, I hung up. Sure is annoying.
Called just now, mentioned they were from the "Washington State Patrol". DON'T GIVE MONEY TO THIS PHONE NUMBER! EVER! They will probably steal your credit card information and rob you of your money.
