David Morris call with the same information as the others. He just had to much of my information. I was to call The Secretary of the Department of Treasury about $10,000 Grant Money and to pickup before 7pm with ID #. I know this is a scam.
Same thing, I got a call from phone number 646-403-4494 with a caller ID of New York, NY (no other identifying information as part of the Caller ID info) what sounds like a very busy open air call center. The message was that qualify for free $10k government grant if I just call back the number posted on this message board. I had no intention of calling specially reading this post. Thought I would post the originating number.
I asked for something in writing to validate the assertion that I have a free government grant - I am simply instructed to call the 360-851-1356 number - when I repeat the request I am instructed to call the number and they can take care of getting me the money. Of course they ask for bank account or credit card numbers which implies they want to extract money and run.
I got this call, made me curious, the man gave me his name as Matthew farmer at extension 207 I was too call him back when I had $250 to put towards a some fees he assured me that I'd get this money back along with the $10,000 but he also added that once I'd sent this money of mine that I'd lose connection for a few minutes but I'm to call him again for another confirmation #he'd give to me and that it would be minutes till I got my $10,250 at the money gram so I proceeded to tell him what if o don't have that he then replied just call me back on the set date @set time @set extension blah blah blah they think I'm just a stupid American idiot, cuz his accent was heavy sounded Pakistani almost but not quite sure but it was heavy accent by from what I know if it's a prize there shouldn't be a fee so scam it is please don't fall for this my fellow American brothers and sisters these dam folks just want to take our hard earned money for themselves to any to quote water hr said "to use as he/she feels fit as long as it's for a good thing"
