I just got a call from them.  Didn't answer.  Machine picked up, but someone still talked as if they didn't hear it.  Female asked for the "female head of household."  The caller ID said it was Utah calling.  I will never, ever answer these.....unless I'm in a funny mood!  Sometimes I answer and say "City Morgue" or "Joe's Crab Shack, we got crabs!"

Getting real sick of receiving calls from these jerks.  I never answer numbers I do not recognise.  They just keep calling even though my number is on the NO CALL LIST.  Hmmm  lot of good that does.

People tend to really misunderstand how it works and generally do not understand that the dnc does not protect you from the scams,frauds,extortionists and the unscrupulous nastys that refuse to obey laws. Charity's and political, along with some survey's are exempt from this.  Most of those will place you on the their internal DNC if asked though and there is a political DNC (it works very well too I might add) list you can sign up with.  

Complaints filed with the DNC and other agency's are used to establish a pattern, then they can take action. They do make busts, they do fine them, and they do make arrests. You also need to realize that some of these bad actors are located in foreign country's and then their government has to work with ours. Slow it may be, but it does happen!

It does offer some protection in a very roundabout way. Legitimate companies obey the DNC, so when you're on the list and you get a telemarketing call, you can assume it's a scammer simply because it's obvious the caller doesn't care about obeying the law.
