Hijacking phone numbers? Caller ID showed another call from 406-883-4733, Aug 4, 2014, 4:52 PM. Strange... because 4:52 PM was one hour later than our actual EDT. Caller left VM from 385-218‑4151, a UT area code, time stamp 3:52 PM, from "Global Credit & Collections" and call back # 1-877-234-1838. GCC supposedly relocated to different areas in Canada, at least one with a time zone one hour ahead of ours. Hmm! GCC was calling relentlessly, up to 10 times per day, from various numbers, looking for someone with same last name. Had blocked 603-883-4733 so they started using the 406 area code. I suspect both are hijacked business numbers. The 385 # didn't show up on our handset 'Caller ID' nor the lists of calls via our provider. Has anyone else noticed the same thing? Our own number was hijacked when these calls started. What a horror show! Have since changed our number and gone unlisted.
