If a bill does not come in the mail BEFORE a debt collector calls, then the debt is bogus, in my opinion.
By speaking to such callers and identifying yourself to them, that opens the door for them to claim that that you acknowledge the debt, and it encourages them to expand their efforts against you. I will just ignore them and wait for them to send a bill in the mail like everyone else does.

Because he refused to tell me what the debt was and said oh because of "Legal" reasons I am no longer willing to speak to you about your account and that he escalated it to a manager ....I do think its a scam.... Especially the way they act like its personal to them!

It sounds like a collection agency also if i was being sued i would have gotten a letter from the courts
