Multiple calls answered to silence before hangup.
Today, they finally responded offering lower interest rates on my visa. When I asked which one, the Indian-sounding man responded that they have all banks accounts and can get me lower rate for the one with the highest debt if I let him know which one. As I continued to get him to provide me with some legitimate and specific PII, and he continued to deflect by attempting to get me to divulge some, I eventually just asked flat out, "well, how do I know that you're not just a complete and total scam?" His response? "We are complete and total scam. How may I help you?" and hung up.
I got a call from this number this afternoon. An automated voice said it was my official last notice for lowering rates on my credit card. I already knew it was a scam, but I pressed one to talk to a representative anyway thinking it would be fun to give the rep a hard time. When I asked what card the call was about he said "your visa mastercard." I asked, "which one?" He said, "Capital One Chase." I said, "I don't have that card." He INSTANTLY hung up on me. Clearly some kind of scam.
