It's probably what's known as "pre-texting", where they can put a phony name and/or number on the Caller I. D. that isn't theirs, I've heard of really scummy collection agencies that pull this nonsense, saying they're with People's PC when they're not.
Caller ID: Florida Call. When I pressed "1" after the recording, she said it was (the name of my credit card company!) and asked if I wanted to lower my rate. I asked if she could take my name off her list, and she immediately hung up.
Same BS with the prerecorded message that tells you to not be alarmed about your cc-s.
The next time they call you and you talk to a person over there, ask them why does the company employ retards who don't know the difference BTW the Company_name and a company's Accounting Dept.
