Was e-mailing a person who said they were a Reverend and just moved to Indiana with SIM (a missionary program). All e-mails from them were so long, many grammar and spelling mistakes, and talked all about maintaining and cleaning the house. The final e-mail stated that they liked us and would rent to us. Downpayment would be sent through CVS money transfer and keys would then be sent by Fed-ex. I found the original house on Trulia and Zillow. I am trying to reach the owner now. I will also be calling the cops shortly. Please be careful.
Tried to rent a property in Louisiana saying he was a Priest who just moved to Florida and to money order him him money to then he would send keys and documents to you.
We were looking for a property in Virginia, he said he was a Rev who was going on a mission trip with SIM (SERVING IN MISSION) and sent a dead link to us. The Deed to the house is in the name Gary Alexander and says that he currently resides in Florida, we checked this out on our county website. Rev Gary asked us to Money Gram him the money and he would FexEx Express the keys and documents to you. We also looked at his IP address and it says he was sending the email from Nigeria.
This number is a fake! He's a scammer off of Craigslist. We was looking for a home to rent in TN & came across this. Once he told me to send him the money via money gram, I knew to look more into it! Called the cops, I have given them the multiple reports I have found & they are starting an investigation!
