Stop paying them. When they call demand proof that you owe the debt. They are required by law to send you that proof by US Mail. An email is not enough. If they don't send proof you don't have to pay.
Pierce and Associates... saying i owe money and they will take me to court if i dont pay. once i asked for their address and phone number they got mad and hung up. i called back and they refused to talk saying that papers will be filed at my county court house. ITS a SCAM!! they said they have no web site because they dont sell anything. and the dude that called me said his name was Mr. Russell and refused to give his first name because, according to him, i dont need it. these crazy people, when will they ever learn. i hate them all, but i do get a kick out of calling them and trying to talk to them because im taking away from their scam attempts and it pisses them off.
No, obey your laws and shut up. If you're making goofy lawsuit threats within a minute of the word "hello", you're not showing a strong hand regarding proof of claim and are violating consumer laws besides.
