Called early am asking for someone other than me. Hung up...another annoying idiot with nothing else to do but bother people while they are getting ready for their real job.
Got a second call today (two days later). Now Caller I.D. says Pascoag RI which is a village in the town of Burrillville RI. (I live in Rhode Island.)
So I guess this is a new thing - not just spoofing numbers but using your area code to spoof the number b/c you will be more likely to pick up the call. Had five spoofed calls in four days.
Received a call asking for "The Lady of the House" A new number but the same line I recognized as being from a Breast Cancer "Charity" with a SCAM rating. I just put the phone down. We will not give to even the best charities via telemarkers where 90% goes to the telemarker & 10% to the charity. We give directly when we so choose.
