I have gotten several calls from different numbers for the same reason, although the last one was recieved months ago. I have also recieved several postcards to my new address for this car that I no longer even have!!!! No idea how to make it go away, or how it even started.
these morons keep calling me on my cell, while i'm at school.
they are saying something about my car insurance being expired... I DON'T OWN A [***] CAR!!!
these same people call with auto warranty scams, free cruise scams, timeshare, whatever. if you recieved a call from them, expect many more. they are identity thieves. it doesn't matter if you're on a "do no call" list, they intend to steal as much personal information as they can. they are criminals, plain and simple.
the fed are apparently looking into it. i've tried as hard as i can to find out who these people are myself, but the few times the company name shows up it seems to be a fake one.
at this time, the best thing you can do is call them back, GIVE NO PERSONAL INFORMATION, and let them know that you won't fall for it. it doesn't matter if they change their scam, it doesn't matter how many times they call, you won't fall for their stupid tricks.
