I'll go there. Republicans are anti-regulation. Vote them out next year, and we can get lawmakers that can enact common sense consumer safety regulations.
Law enforcement and regulation enforcement are expensive, and the anti-tax crowd don't want to pay for it, because, after all, personal responsibility means they aren't the ones causing the problem, so why should they pay anything ... until their own lives get upended.
