They called me twice the first time no spoke! The second time the asked me some questions about fire alarms!(in very broken English) Then they asked me my name and I said you called ME and hung up...I smell a scam
Have also received similar phone calls from 1-401-401-1234. The company appears to be using these numbers as screens to disguise where they're really calling from.
Am also on Do Not Call Registry, both state and national.
female who barely spoke English said she was doing a survey and wanted to know if I have smoke detectors in my house. I just hung up the phone. I'm on a do not call list yet I still get these calls. What's the point of the list?
TheY called me, asked for me by name (my husband answered). They explained I was pre-selected as a winner of a free home-security system. My husband told her to remove our number from the list.
