Woke me up and took a while to get to phone, but didn't recognize number (caller ID info unavailable) and left no message. Doesn't sound legit. When people try to pull my leg, I like to pull their hamstrings and a few other muscles.
Received a call from this number yesterday. I said hello but nothing else. The man on the other line said hello twice and then he said "Can you hear me". I hung up at this time. Heard from several media sources that this is a major scam who uses your "yes" response to charge you a fee for responding.
401-409-7040 called twice today (2.18/17) ... the first time 11:56, but we were not home and the second time 6:14p.m. but I picked up the receiver ... did not say a word and pressed *69 and hung up!
"Victor" from "Best Back Brace List" came on the line after a long pause. Background noise from a very busy call center. This is clearly a telemarketing firm autodialing to make sure their minions never have to wait. Possibly a medicare scam.
Received a call on how to get free health coverage to manage pain. The accent was from India. I talked with to guys and this is a scam. They have no clue about the VA.
