I received the same exact message and I know I don't owe any money to a collection agency and when I called them back a man asked me if I had my case # and I informed him that he called me he then put me on hold and never came back so I know I am not worried about these people.
I had the same call today on my cell phone as well as in the school office. My principal was alerted and called me in this afternoon. The recording told me that I had two charges against me and that I would be served with papers either at home or at work.
I received a voicemail message from 401-433-7875. I did not hear a company name or who they were calling. the lady stated I would be charged with 2 counts of fraud. My county would be informed. The first time I called I was immediately placed on hold. The second time the number rang for sometime; I was transferred to an extension where I was to leave a message; and then the box was full. I never heard a business name. I am so glad I did a Google search and found this site.
I've received two phone messages saying the exact same thing. The calls came from two different numbers. I got one call in March and another today. I also got a call from someone last week saying that my name has been connected to another name, happens to be my son, and that he owes from a payday loan he defaulted on in 2012. He did not even have a checking account back then. The number is 1-317-559-1156. When I tried to look the number up it came back as an invalid phone number. Have you or anyone else, received a call from this number regarding fraudulent activity blah, blah, blah?
