IRS scammer, said this was 2nd notification and that I owed them money and if I didn't call him back I might have to go before a magistrate. Very heavy accent.
This idiot called both my mother and her friend... law abiding, upstanding senior citizens. He had the audacity to tell my mother she would be in trouble if she "didn't comply." When asked to elaborate, the jerk gave her a mouth full of garble and said he'd call back, or she could call him back. He used the name Robin Meyer from the Dept. of the Treasury with her.
I tried to call back...the line is busy, I hope no one falls for this garbage.
Please warn any eldely people you know not to pick up the phone. This crook has a foreign accent - here is the meesage left on my home phone today.
"This will be an (intentional?) 2nd attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or grand jury for a federal offense. My number is 732-226-7545. I advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you."
HANG UP...I like to call them back and screw with them a little.
