This person has been calling me twice a day for about two weeks now and he is starting to piss me off --- he says his name is steve robinson and then its officer steve robinson - the last two messages he called and marked them urgent on my cell phone -- how can we stop this guy -- or this number this is harrassment -- my voice mail is full becuase of them --
I HAVE RECEIVED ABOUT 4 CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER. IT IS HARD TO UNDER STAND JUST WHAT THEY ARE SAYING AS THE VOICES SOUND VERY FORIEGN AND ALSO I AM A LITTLE HARD OF HEARING. IT SEEMS ONE OF THEM HAD SOME PRIZES I NEEDED TO ACCEPT. ANOTHER WAS ABOUT A DEBT I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE INCURRED AND NOT PAID AND ANOTHER SEEMED TO BE ABOUT SOMEONE I KNEW OR WAS RELATED TO NEEDED HELP. I DID NOT RESPOND TO ANY OF THESE CALLS AS THEY WERE LEFT AS MESSAGES.. ALSO SOME OF THESE CALLS SHOWED AS COMING FROM 1-011-052-797796 AND TOLD ME TO CALL BACK AT 401 719 0152.
I THINK THESE ARE SCAMS
My fiance just received a call from Credit Inquiries and Litigation. The man named Albert Johnson was most definiately of Asian Indian descent. He said that my fiance was having a lawsuit filed and that he needed to call right away. My fiance is a former credit and debt counselor and knows that this kind of stuff is a scam. We will not be calling them back and if need be, we will report to the Rhode Island authorities.
When in doubt, get your own annual credit report that is free each year. That will show anything that could be a problem. . . don't trust these guys. They were very short and rude and wouldn't give any real information on who the lawsuit was from.
@NH
What scares me about this is that they had my SSN, my work #, etc. They had ALL my info. They said charges were being filed against me and that I needed to pay some payday loan. I said I never took one out and he started yelling at me and threatening me, so I said "Fine, send me something in writing." he said he could not do that, blah blah blah.
I knew it was a scam at that point, but the fact that he spouted off my social security number, my address, had my work number, etc. Not sure what to do.
Anybody know what recourse I have? It REALLY spooked me.
