The caller indicated he got my number from the Appraisal Directory (he is looking for MAIs to determine their specialties). He represents a lender and wants to make sure he has competent appraisers on the West Coast if he needs them. They are growing their business (it appears to be online lending) and he seemed very knowledgable about the subject - seems legit.
