This is CVS a callin' to pester you about refilling your prescription(s), better answer it if you can, 'cause they will keep on calling until you go nuts.
I got a call from this number. CVS is starting a new program where they call customers to remind them of important refills. They will NOT do this on all medications...just the ones that sometimes take extra days to order. I take a new (in terms of new to the public) medication which is sometimes hard to get. I had a long talk with the rep and, just to ease my mind, I made HIM give me my info (LOL!) not the other way around! He gave me what he could without compromising my privacy and it was enough to let me know that he was legit. I was a Customer Relations manager, so people get a handful when they call me! I ask LOTS of questions. He even knew that the drug manufacturer comped me a free prescription (a $1200 medication, I might add) so I was satisfied that it was not a prank call. He ordered my medication for me. I did get a restricted number call about an hour before, so I think it was computer-generated to find out when is the best time to call based on whether someone answered the phone or not. Again, you will NOT get phone calls on all medications, just on ones that are either life-sustaining, injectables, ones that sometimes take extra order-time and medications for significant illnesses/conditions that you don't need to allow to lapse. He didn't push me to refill at all. He just offered to expedite the process so I didn't run into a delay with extra order-time.
I know it is CVS calling and will not answer. Received 3 calls today. They were informed the last 2 months NOT to call that I did not want to be notified, but it hasn't worked yet!!!!
Only your local CVS will call you to refill your prescriptions...I reported them to my local CVS and gave them the number they used on me last year (this is a new number) so it is starting again and I have received this call two times in one day and I am only half way through it.
