Yeah I just received a call from this number today as well and the crazy thing is I knew it was a scam because the guy claimed he was calling to update my virus protection for my computer that I purchased.. problem is I hadn't ordered or purchased any virus protection from them so I knew it was a set up.. When I asked 'Hey wait a minute what are you talking about?.." he immediately hung up the phone on me! Damn scam artist.. I wish they'd all be arrested or shot and killed!
I have received several calls from a "company" that claims to need to access my computer to check my anti-virus software. I have asked repeated for them to stop calling me, take my name off the list, but they say they can't do that. Yesterday, the caller was excessively rude and threatened that I would be billed a cancellation fee if I didn't let them access my PC. Told me to read the fine print, and that they were authorized by anti-virus software like Norton, McAfee, and a couple of others that I could not understand. Phone # yesterday was 401-859-0293.
