This is not a scam. The first time they called I did not answer because I did not recognize the number. I checked Whitepages, which said that it was a legitimate number. When they called back, I answered. It was from Duane Reade reminding me about 2 prescriptions that were ready for refill. They ask for your birth date merely to identify you.
From this number for Duane Reade then they tell you to call back an 800 number. And we have no prescriptions out for refill according to our pharmacist
Wow, this is a really good scam since they used Duane Reade Prescription refill as a way to get seniors to pick up!!! Just wow!!! These crooks never fail to amaze me. And they called on Sunday!
Called me 2x in 2 hrs. Claim to be Duane Reade refill prescription and ask you to put in your dob and some other info. It's a scam. Don't give them any info. I've been using the same DR for 11 yrs to refill my prescriptions and they've never called me from this number. They call you from your specific location.
