I was trying to get to the phone, it rang 3 times. I picked it up and heard a computerized woman's voice saying "Good-by.", and they hung up the phone! Then I called *69 and got this number....402-336-0093. I do not know anyone from that part of the state as I am in western Nebraska. I am also on the National Do Not Call List! A lot of good that does me!
I received a call from that number. It said it was from O'Neill NE. I wasn't home. I called the number. It rang twice and there was no answer. I called it back and got an answering machine message something like this: "We are currently closed. Business hours are ?-? (I can't remember the times) Monday through Friday and ?-? on weekends . We are sorry we missed your call as we want to provide good customer service. Please call back during business hours Eastern time." The person was male and spoke like a midwestern USA person. I live in Nebraska. The time zone for O'Neill is not an eastern time zone, its in the central time zone so that really makes me wonder what this is. I called the number back because I have relatives in that area and wondered if one of them were trying to reach me.
He is a dick trying to squander money for some veterans cause. From oneill, NE..... no doubt a scam artist trying to sob story someone into donating a few bucks..... I asked him to remove me from the list and he kept saying.... I can't hear you can you repeat that. he's a jerk.
