I received this call at about 7:25 am this morning. It was a robocall that asks you to press a button to redirect to a rep to get your info about your credit cards. It starts out claiming to have been monitoring your credit card activity for the last 3-6 months. (REALLY? Is that legal?) Interesting as we have none. I asked them to remove me form their list as we are on the Do Not Call list and the hung up. Since there are no laws in place regarding these types of calls and the hours telemarketers CAN call, Why is this being allowed to continue?
I picked up the (cell) phone and heard a recording already in progress saying "that is not a valid extension - please try again". I have no extensions. Were they trying to get control of my answering machine? I have heard they try to guess the password on your answering machine. A lot of people just keep the factory default.
