Like the others reported, I answered and it was an automated message claiming to be "Officer Brian Snyder" with the IRS and that there was a warrant under our "address" and to call for more details. Scam, for sure. IRS does not call you like that, they will use USPS. My number is on the do not call registry, but I believe they got this number buying from an old mobile carrier I had when I had a different last name.
Male with a heavy accent left an ominous message but no detail other than a phony name. No case or reference number. SCAMMER!! Give them no information even a return call.
I got a call also. They said they were "from the IRS" and proceeded to tell me that they have a Warren for my arrest for 2 different counts of tax evasion in the amount of $1700.00 due to me not reporting wages. She said they will keep warrant on hold if I make arrangements with them to pay the $1,700. I said then u need to speak to my tax man at H&R BLOCK. I asked if they would like his number. She said she would do further investigations and call me back. I just said "You do that"
