Now these clowns are calling my cell phone. Fortunately much easier to block than a land line.
Now I just put my phone on mute and call them back 10 or 20 times with my caller id blocked. They sound so confused.
I have to say, the message left actually made me laugh out loud! Voice that sounded like a Lurch with a foreign accent, talking about my case and urgent blah blah blah . . . Says the call originated from Nebraska. Right. NEVER GIVE YOUR INFO NO MATTER WHAT!!
Called saying the same thing on my company phone saying "you have a warrant out for your arrest and your address is under fed investigation".
So what did I do I called them back. Seeing A) my company phone has no ties to me nor my address
B) how would they get that phone number when I do not use it.
So when the guy answered the phone I asked him "do You even know my name or my address?" his response was " You're name is Tony"
Wrong so I proceeded to ask him " Then where do I Live?"
all he did was studder so I then threatened him stating that his crime is punishable by law. He quickly disconnected me and blocked my phone number lol. Anyone stating you have a warrant for your arrest on a voice mail is prob lying. Trust me you would know if you had one or not. Ha scrubs
I called my accountant about a similar experience. She said that the government NEVER calls or emails. They ONLY send letters US mail as correspondence. She said it was a scam.
Robo-caller is still at it with the urgent-sounding "call immediately" demand. As others have noted, the message seemed to pick up partway through; there was no introduction/indication of who was making the call or what they were actually calling about -- they're just attempting to scare the people into responding with a vague threat regarding the severity of their "case". I blocked the call, but I'm sure other scammers will continue calling from other numbers.
