I received a few rings from this number today on an old cell phone number. No message. I don't live in that area code. I don't use Craigslist. (Some here said it is related to it.) My online shopping accounts have a new cell number. This is a phishing scam. Do not give out financial or personal info to unsolicited callers. Do not answer unknown numbers.
I received a call from this number, it rang once then hung up. Immediately after, I received a call from a no caller ID, which I rejected. Again, I immediately received another call from an incomplete number 80012015. I rejected that one too. They called my cell which is not used for anything other than me calling my one family member. I don't use craigslist, so that's not it. Just another scam artist.
Just googled 80012015, which is the third call I received in succession. Saw that others received a call from this foreign accent person saying that they are from Microsoft and that my computer is at risk. So, are all 3 calls I received within 20 seconds related to the same scam artist or just a perfect storm of ash holes calling at the same time? Pretty soon I will give up the phone and Internet and go back to using snail mail only. technology sucks.
