Got the same call about insurance scam but my stepson friend has a friend online that has an app and recording that plays the same things the guy said to me on the phone. It's just a big prank!
Some ghetto dude saying he went to jail and needed to be bailed out, i let him talk and say he was good for the money then he started laughing and it said it was a prank call. "You just got pranked by (name of company)".
I received a call from an "annoymonous" caller saying I hit his car and left a note. He was a ghetto dude and was calling me "B" like in posts above. I dismissed the call thinking not much more of it but then a week later, I received a call from a lady in another state who asked if I had just called her. I hadn't and was in the process of talking to her and she asked me to hang on because MY NUMBER was calling her again. She put me on hold, answered the other call, came back to the line and told me it was a ghetto dude telling her she hit his car!! I told her about the phone call I had received last week. We of course had each other's phone numbers so we got each other's names and filed a complaint with the FCC. Phone carriers said there was nothing they could do but change my number. Wondering if any of the other's above who received the same call had their number's spoofed as well???
So I just got the exact same call to a T. He sounded ghetto and stated that I scratched his car and left my number on his windshield and broke his tail light and who was my insurance company. At that point I just hung up. I am immediately get a trace on the phone number that called me which was 951-285-4384 and it is located somewhere near Lake Elsinore, California. And it is a Verizon phone. I have friends in law-enforcement and will do anything and everything I can to prosecute this [***]
