On 12.29.2008 i got a call from that number the first time i picked up they had hung up before i heard the recording or it got dissconected or something. They called back again and i heard the recording i couldnt make out the name because i was half asleep.. If everyone knows this is a scam then why are they still calling?
I received a call from this number. Since I didn't recognize the number, I allowed it to go to voice mail. It asked me to push 1 to accept, 2 to decline or 3 to never receive a call from this number again. It stated that this call was being recorded unless it was between an Atorney and Client which is privelaged. I work for AT&T and was informed from our Corporate Headquarters that this is a scam. There is a fee for accepting this call and it ranges into thousands of dollars.
I had 3 customers who had accepted these collect calls and their bills reflected $10,000 to $15,000
for accepting the calls. Our Customer Service department removed them but advised customers to not take the calls and allow them to go to voice mail. Please do not accept these calls unless you know for a fact who is calling.
