Our office got the standard credit card interest recording. One of our lines used to be a residential number, so we get both personal and small biz scammers calling us every day.
These are criminals people! The minions calling for them know they are abetting a crime and have no problem with that- they think you deserve to be ripped off. They do not have "do not call" lists, they will never remove your number because they are just randomly dialing! Pressing 2 confirms that your number is real, and puts you on other call lists. Don't ever give them your credit card number or any other info- they will use it to con you. If you want to get revenge, press 1 and ask that they call you at another number- then give them your most-hated local politician's phone number ;)
402.982.0600 was the number pushing the Google placement scam on us. Likely this call center has a variety of scams up its sleeve.
I got this call at work. When I answered, a recording came on, but it came on as if in the middle of the message. It said something like..."Press 1 for this unique opportunity. Press 2 if you'd like to be removed from our mailing list."
This number calls our house about once a day. Always at different times sometimes as late as 10:00. Its a recording like PP said-- comes on in the middle of the message and even though we've pushed 2 "to be removed from the list" they still call
I believe this company purchased my name from a credit bureau or someone I recently applied for a mortgage refinance with. Seems strange that I would be shopping for a mortgage refinance, and then suddenly I get these calls all the time.
I got a call from this number I was on the other line with my mom so I didn't take it and when I called back to see who it was I got the "Your call can not go through please try another time." And this was on my cell phone.
