Same here. I bet it's a recording. May says, "Oh, I'm sorry I think I have the wrong #." Very sneaky making you think you are actually talking to someone. They are verifying the # and dont want to be report. Report them to the FCC.
Part of a series of calls that are all 'dead air'. Hang up the phone, no dial tone for 2 minutes. Have contacted our phone company as we have received 10-15 of these calls everyday. All different numbers.
This is hilarious! I just got this call and the "sorry wrong number" thing too. Did anyone else hear the DTMF tone burst just before he disconnects? Any smart telco guys know that thay may be about?? What could be their purpose? to find working numbers? Surely there is a better way than calling.
just got call on home phone... WTF same as above. O sorry I have the wrong number. I let it ring 3x before I picked up. It's got to be a machine. It was searching for 'ANY' sound on the line. I didn't say hello.... I just blew air into the phone to make a noise and it said "Oh, I'm sorry. I think I have the wrong number", and it hangs up.
CallerID only says -- Omaha NE
Please post here the followup calls so we can track who these sobs sold our numbers to..
