Bingo! With this first-time call today, Portfolio Recovery has now hit 40 different numbers that they use in their pathetic, generally mistaken efforts to collect what they think are outstanding debts someone might have owed someplace. (The company is a bottom-feeder that buys debt that banks, retailers and others write off for many reasons, paying maybe a penny on a dollar of debt.) Over the past three years, the company generally used about 33 different numbers to pester folks, but in the past two weeks, they have added about seven new numbers to get to that total of 40. As always, block the morons, as my call-blocking service has done with each and every call -- including this and another new number today -- so you can live in peace.
