They called yesterday from this number and left this number to call back with an extension. They actually said, "If this isn't **** ******** please step away from the receiver or disregard this call." Then continued to leave the message that they are a collector trying to collect and I have until 6pm est today to call back to give my statement or they would proceed with the case. They gave a case number.
I know they are scam artists. Real companies leave their company names and contact info. They don't refer to themselves as Mr. or Mrs Black, Blue or Brown, and leave their number with a case number. I'm smart enough to know a scheme when I hear one. 404 is based out of Georgia. pretty positive the caller is a rookie forgot to spoof a number out of another state and called from the same number that they left. She also fumbled through her entire message as if she was being trained in the boiler room or reading it for the first time off the cue cards.
