My student loans are completely up to date, automatically deducted from my account every month. I don't know why they would be calling me but it is annoying since they don't leave any messages.
I just received a call from this number on my home phone and told them they had the wrong number after asking for my wife. Even though they DID have the correct number, I knew it was a debt collection company because she said this call is being recorded. But after reading some of these comments and discovering it was for "student loans" I have to laugh.
Those loans, which occurred almost 30 years ago, were originally for approximately $3500,but the interest and other fees have escalated the total to over $18,000. They were for my son, but I am retired now and have know intention of EVER paying them a single penny!
The way our government wastes taxpayers money for unbelievable things, I am morally at peace with that! And besides, I am not in a position to pay it anyway. With that DESPICABLE man, Obama, that resides in the White House, who is destroying this country and the values and culture that we have fought for since the beginning, let him get the money from all his Muslim cronies!
Rather than blaming others, perhaps pay your debts! How can you judge others, specially when you can't even seem to handle your own finances or those of your children; whom you obviously consigned for (a legal binding contract), and then didn't pay or teach them to pay their debts. It's easy to throw around words like 'despicable' or 'moral'... Look within yourself first before casting blame onto others. I personally find it rather despicable that people don't pay their debts, and then act like victims for being deadbeats. It doesn't matter if the loan is 30 years or 30 days old, you signed a contract, you gave your word, and then you ran from your responsibility. No one forced you to take out those loans, you did so of your own free will. So to not pay them, and pass on that burden on to others, (yes, it gets passed on to other borrowers) and then claim your moral high ground, is a clear representation of a kind of despicable individual and I find THAT morally reprehensible, and someone not worth trusting.
President Obama has absolutely nothing to do with you not paying your debt. You acknowledged the debt that you are not willing to pay even if you could. Thirty years ago Obama was not our President. DO NOT blame our two term President for your debt!!!
You are, probably, one of the people who put Obama in office, either by not voting because you did not like the dominants of each party or by not being a registered voter. It is usually the uneducated, uninformed and lazy people like you (regardless of race) that write or make statements like the one you made. The man/boy that shot those innocent people sitting in church is an extreme example of blaming others for his lack of success in life.
