Calls are made to place of employment 5 times a day looking for someone specific using first, middle and last name of the person. Each time the caller is told that this is a place of business and that we have over 100 employees. The caller then mentions the persons occupation and possible supervisor name. It is very annoying receiving these calls. Even more annoying that if this is a collection agency, the caller seems like they will talk to anyone to get this person on the phone, even go to the lengths of talking to their supervisor.
the number called me today and just explained that they are trying to recover a debt that was deliquint from when i had military housing that was automaticly withdrawn from my military pay (so i know it was paid in full and have a military leave and earnings statment to prove it was paid on the dates he gave me) i stated this to him and offered to prove this but the caller became billigerant and offernsive to me stating that i had no proof and that i owed it and threatend that if i didnt pay him today that he would garrentee me that i will recieve numourous calls from them until they recieve payment.... anyone have any suggestions for me?? i attempted to contact the housing company but they state that a collection agency has taken over and have to deal with them
