Someone from this number has called 5 times today, and several other times over the past week...as late as 9pm EST. On the last call, I finally picked up the phone and told them to stop calling....I have sick kids. I hung up before they could say who they were, but the caller ID says that are an ATT service center. We have ATT, and no problems with our accounts, so this must be bogus. I am about ready to cancel my land line over this harrassment. Then ATT can provide me with a service call to refund my money..
Calls almost everyday, 2-3 times a day sometimes.
If you let it goto the answering machine they hang up. When you pick up there's no one there and it disconnects.
Got a call today. Caller introduced herself from AT& T. Wanted to know if I had internet service and was it from them. I said no, I have it through another service. Then she wanted to know how much I paid per month so I gave her a number (not the real price I pay which is much cheaper than them.) Started her sales pitch and I told her I'm not going to change, I've had my current service over 5 years now which I'm happy with. She continued her spiel and I repeated that I wouldn't be changing and thank you for calling, then I hung up. If I hadn't ended the call, the "pressured sales pitch" wouldn't end. How many times do you have to say no thank you before they get the hint you won't be changing service?
Get these calls ALL the time. I normally don't answer, but yesterday I did for some reason. I specifically told the woman I was on the do not call list and to remove my name. Got another call today. It always says AT&T Service Center, but I suspect it is not because if it was legit, they would have removed my name after I told them to.
caller ID shows ATT Svc Ctr. Wanted me to switch to ATT internet. I have been thinking about switching so I did speak with him. He has a perfect American accent and sounded reasonable, and not until the end did I become slightly suspicious. When I said I needed to first call TWC to make sure I can cancel my cable service, he said he wanted to set up my ATT right now and I can call him back later if I have a problem canceling TWC. I told him I don't feel comfortable doing this, and asked for his name so I can ask for him when I call back to set up ATT. He said his name is Jarvis Durham. He also gave me the number to call back, 888-749-8823, but said it would be better to call the number on my caller ID (which is the 404 number). He was perfectly calm. I am glad I check this number online -- I was going to call him back tomorrow!
