Saw this number as a missed call and of course ran a Google Search and figured there would be something about the number here. My guess is that yet another lowlife debt collector resorting to scanning the phone books in order to find someone that owes them money whose first name starts with the initial our phone number is listed under.
What pisses me off is that they will call you, ask you to stay on hold, and then 10 seconds later hang up on yu. So 10 minutes later they call back and do the exact same thing.
I have been getting calls every day from 8 in the morning to nine in the evening. Worst thing is they call my two other acquaintances as well and my old job. Do we not have any rights for these individuals to stop harassing us? I am ten days late on a payment but have made every payment in the last five years. I have told them that I will make my payment at the end of the month when I get my paycheck. I am so fed up with these harassment calls. Please let me know if anyone knows what are rights are when it comes to these kinds of calls
They are so obnoxious. Somehow they recieved my new cell phone number without m ever giving them my number. I also get emails and calls up to5 days before a bill is due saying i need to pay. I understand i have a debt to pay but really? And must we be so rude..
I saw this number was showing above as a credit card company. I do NOT own credit cards as you PAY way too much to have them and it is too easy to go into debt with them.
So I called the number 404-419-6859 listed on my Caller ID.
It said it was a call from Georgia.
Well the guy has a very NEW YORK accent on his recorded message for 'Generating More Leads'.
You have to listen to the whole message (it is short) as he wants you to watch an 11 minute presentation.
Oh yeah, He tries to FIRST tell you he is a retired 'Cop'.
OK! I believe that one!!! NOT.
I am a Policeman's daughter so I know their drill about phone calls and illegal activities!
Anyways, he then asks you to leave your name and number.
He called me, so he should have information on who he called.
I said "My number is (XXX) XXX-XXXX, PLEASE REMOVE THIS NUMBER FROM YOUR LIST! THANK YOU, GOOD BYE."
BY LAW, ALL COMPANIES NEED AN OPT OUT.
I HAVE A COUPLE BUSINESSES MYSELF AND THIS GUY CALLED ONE OF MY BUSINESS CELL PHONES!
BE NICE AND ASK FOR THEM TO REMOVE YOU FROM THEIR LIST.
SHOULD HE CALL ME AGAIN. THEN I TAKE ACTION AND REPORT HIM TO THE F.T.C (Federal Trade Commission), http://www.ftc.gov/
In the middle of the page is a RED BOX---CONSUMER COMPLAINT.
This is the way to make unlawful calls stop.
