Same thing as everyone else. I called the number back from a blocked line. They answered "IRS". I said I'm calling you back and he asked for my phone number.... I then said, I'm a little concerned here, and am actually a police officer and know that noone from the IRS would EVER leave that type of message. We would get something in writing. He said .... "OH...." and hung up. Tried calling back and they keep hanging up. SCUM OF THE EARTH.
Cowards!!! I tryed calling back just to play along and give them fals hope but they would not pick up!! I guess it must be lunch time in the middle east!!
Same experience as the above. I received automated message that the IRS is suing me. The phone call was eventually picked up by a man in what sounded like a noisy call center (lots of background noise). He said thanks for calling the IRS and asked for my phone number and name to look me up in his system. I declined and asked him to validate that he was from the IRS. We chuckled a little and he eventually said "don't waste your time with the IRS" and told me to have a nice day. I'm guessing he's had a long day at work, too. ;)
Got a miss call from this number saying I'm being sued by the IRS and it was a final notice.. I called them back and they asked who I was and when I stated my name they hung up if it was soo important why would they hang up on me and not send me any notices in the mail first
I got the "you are being sued by the IRS" message. I will be reporting it to donotcall.gov. I suspect they use different numbers when they call, but if you get the same number many phones will allow you to block it.
Called and left a message that we were being sued by the IRS. Had my husband return the call and they would not give him any information and hung up on him. We contacted the sheriff's department who said to never answer this number and block it from calling you because it's a nationwide scam.
