Do any of you know about the FDCPA? You can search for it on google. It tells you what collectors can and can't do when they are trying to get money. They are not allowed to talk to anyone about the debt besides you or your spouse. Collectors can't even call the police or file charges about it or even put it on your credit report. A lady called my ex-in-laws from this number 404-523-0411, specifically asking for me or my current husband. I have no idea how or why they called my former in-laws looking for me, especially since I've lived in the same home for more than 8 years now and divorced my ex husband more than 10 years ago. My ex in-laws live in one state and I live in another. No message was left, other than demanding a phone number to be able to phone me. Then when I got home today, there were 2 hang up calls from this same number, no message was left on the machine. I don't know what they want, since they won't leave a message. Who do I contact about these harrassing hang up calls being made to me and to my ex-in-laws?
