DO NOT CALL LIST? What's that? (sarcasm) Any more, it's more like "Hey scammers, telemarketers, general no-gooders here's a list of numbers that are known to be good. Feel free to use them as much as you like. And as far as cell phones, are concerned, consider them fair game also. Compliments of the USA FCC!"
I'm with you....get the class action lawsuit started and I'll be on that bandwagon. However, the US Federal Government has legalized spoofing as long as it is not used to harass or scam someone; what the politicians could not answer is what good reason would anyone have to spoof a number if that person is legitimate.....not ONE good reason could be given but in one's politician's words, "I'm sure there must be a good reason." One politician cited law enforcement may at times need to use spoofing; I guess he didn't know that like cell phones, an exception could be made for law enforcement. Let's not forget that big business with money behind them have more power than an entire country of little people. Ask Donald Trump :)
No hacking required....Washington politicians made spoofing services legal so there are actual businesses that offer these unused numbers to scammers so they can call and harass you. It's time to start writing to your representatives in Washington.
