Just got a call from this number stating there was an emergency call from my grandson. The recording said to press #1 then it stated that my call was going to be $1.99 and $.95 per minute. I hung up and called my grandson. He told me that he got a call from 404-676-6575 and told him to state his name. He recently used my card to buy minutes for his phone. May be a connection.
my husband had a collect call from that same number wed. or thur. night about 9:00. it prompted for a credit card # then it disconnected when one wasnt given.
The collect calls from 404-558-7626 are going to numbers in GA and FL. I filled a complain with the FCC and FTC, but doubt they'll be able to stop it. When you block the number, it switches to an unkiwn number and when you block all unkown numbers, it switches to an out of area number. It's a collect call scam, and poorly done. It's more annoying than it is worrying me financially.
Rec'd 2 calls within 1 minute of each other on 3/17/12 on my work phone. I wasn't around to hear it ring and they didn't leave a message so I didn't call back. This is annoying because as it's my work phone I answer every call rather than ignoring it like I do on my personal phone when I don't recognize the number.
