I got the same lisa.roommatenext.com text message from a roommate ad listed on Craigslist in San Francisco, should have known, it was a room in sf with parking spot for $850, but so glad I came across this page because I was tempted to follow the link. Instead of "lisa" mine was customized, kinda, they spelled Rebecca wrong:
"Room still open.pls sign up here http//rabecca.roommatenext.com & lemme know for da next step.Just prove u r not Marketer/Robot."
i just got this phone number 909-878-7806 for a room in a condo in Mission Valley. I felt bad checking it out doing a Google search, but I got instant goose bumps when I read the text but I clicked the link anyways and thought it was odd that it wanted me to sign in with my Facebook password and decided to instantly change my FB password and do a search on the phone number. Here was the message: Room still open.pls sign up here http://jessica.roommatenext.com & lemme know for da next step.Just prove u r not Marketer/Robot. Ori
Same. Most people don't respond very quickly on Craigslist. Hours. Even days later. Sometimes not at all. First strike was this "person" responded within minutes with a canned text. Second strike is they asked you to do something or sign up to something and third strike was they questioned if you were real or a bot. That's three strikes. You're out.
