I got one of the yellow notes with names tara and tommy downie in east cobb near where kennesaw and marietta meet. Creepy.
Has anyone heard a response back from the police?
got one today in the mail from Tommy & Tara Warren saying they want to $BUY$ my house. our house actually is listed for sale, so i figured they got our address off one of the realty sites. We live in Smynings as well.
@ chad. I live in east cobb marietta. Funny thing is the three townhomes on both sides of me are empty. Why not buy those! Its a total scam. Maybe the got my name from a mailing list.
I got one today. Glad I found you guys. I have gotten these twice the past from "Kevin Sykes" with the same wording ($BUY$) for my home, which is not for sale. This one today, from "Tara", was for my mothers house and addressed to my sister?!? Which leads me to believe they got my info fom public records.
Just received that same note handwritten on yellow lined paper. Reads:
Hi,
My name isnTara Downie. My husband and I would like to $BUY$ your house at
"address of home".
Please call us at 404-645-7311
Thanks,
Tara
Sure sounds like a scam to me.
