Paul Leves is a scammer. He tried scamming me by pretending to be interested in buying an old car that I advertised on a website. Don't get fooled. He wanted to pay me through PayPal, did so, and the email that was sent, was not an authentic PayPay email. How did I know, it didn't have the icon with the golden lock and check mark beside it which is a trademark of PayPal's security. Also, the email itself seemed fishy:
[email protected]. Anyhow I looked for the money transaction in my PayPal account, and there was nothing. Only in my emails did I receive various notifications from the pretend PayPal security stating that the money transaction was being withheld until the instructions had been completed. The instructions told me to pay Western Union $700 to his pick up agent (Elese Fedex) who would pick up the car for him as he stated he would not be doing so due to his busy schedule and drop it off to him in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Also, I would have to pay another $100 for the Western Union fee of transaction. Supposedly this money would be transferred to me on my PayPal account once I had provided them a photocopy of the receipt of the transaction. Only then would the transaction in PayPal be completed making it sound like I would get my money back. He communicated with me via text only, and kept repeating the same instructions. He later revealed his name after 4 hours of texts. I caught on to it by the time I realized I had to pay money through Western Union. I let him know I rejected his PayPal transaction (that I never received in the actual account) and he said that its not possible once such transaction goes through it cannot be refunded, what a fraud. Sellers beware. I called my phone provider to make sure where this person was calling from and it turned out to from the U.S.A., I live in Canada.
