Although they answer the phone "Law Offices".....The name of the firm is Fredrick J Hanna & Assoc. this law firm specializes in collecting credit card debt. Their toll free # gives their Firm name away. 866-306-8250
Ok so I am getting calls from this number too. IF they leave a message they are very rude. My question is...does everyone owe money to someone that's overdue? Is this why they persist? If the calls are continuously ignored, what can happen?
Do they have to speak to someone to take further action? I'm probably just paranoid about the tone of the message, but I know I don't owe.
My phone shows a call from 404 736 2083, that came in on 1/9/09. I'm unable to take phone calls when I am alone. I researched this number and it appears to be a collection agency out of GA. There are many, many negative pieces of info out on this bunch. Check to see if they're licensed to practice law in your state.
So I've seen calls from this number on numerous occasions....I know I owe money to some credit companies, but from what I see everyones saying, I shouldn't trust this guy? He finally just left a message for the first time today, and it's a recorded one. Should I ignore him? Wouldn't he send me something in the mail if he was legit? Have any of you actually paid him any money towards bills you owe?
